A scrumptious Punjabi, spicy, tangy and a comforting sookhi (dry) dhal to eat with roti or a crispy naan. It’s an ideal meal made in much less then 15 minutes. You will love this household favorite of mine. .
Elements:
-1 cup/250ml dhal, (spilt black gram)
-Spices: half of tsp of turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder. spicekitchenuk -1 tsp of salt. -1 finely chopped chilli
-Half a finely diced onion
-2 medium cinnamon sticks
-Thumb of ginger grated.
-Three tbsp of passata. -Recent Coriander.

Technique.
-Soak the dhal in water (non-obligatory) for those who can, in any other case carry to boil with half of tsp of salt and turmeric. Don’t over boil, hold al-dente.
-Drain dhal
-Fry cumin seeds and cinnamon in oil and add onions for 2-Three minutes.
-Add ginger, and chilli and prepare dinner for couple of minutes. -Add spices, prepare dinner for 1 minute earlier than including the passata. -Cook dinner throughly and add the dhal. -Combine and test seasoning.
