๐ŸŸ One pan spicy tomato caper fish ๐ŸŸ

The bf and his brother had a profitable day trip within the water ๐Ÿ™ apparently these small mouth had been 2 of the smallest fish they caught and so they had launched a number of 5 lbers ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I noticed the photographs.. It is actual… Someday perhaps that’ll be me ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ

We did not have a lot within the fridge so went to seize tomatos and made a basic sauce that I really like with white fish: spicy tomato caper. I’ve used this sauce with sea bass, sea bream, even skate. A really versatile sauce that is all cooked in 1 pan so there’s much less dishes ๐Ÿ˜Š

What you will want:
1 entire white fish ~1.5 to 2lbs
2 small tomatoes, diced
half pink onion, minced
2 garlic, minced
2-Three chilis, chopped
2-Three tbsp capers
1/Four cup dry white wine (skip when you choose alcohol free, I solely had rose at this time ๐Ÿ˜…)
half lemon, juiced
Handful of chopped cilantro
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp oil

Methodology:
1. Pat dry your fish and generously season with salt and pepper on each side and contained in the cavity.
2. Lower slits on all sides if utilizing an even bigger / extra plump fish for simpler cooking.
3. Soften ghee over medium warmth and add in oil.
4. Pan fry fish for Three to Four minutes on 1 facet till golden brown then flip.
5. Add in pink onion, garlic, and chilis and fry till aromatic ~2 minutes.
6. Add in tomatoes and capers for one more 2 to three minutes and gently season with salt & pepper.
7. Squeeze over lemon juice and add in wine for one more 2 minutes then combine in chopped parsley and serve.

Notes:
For a bigger fish you may add a little bit of rooster inventory so it creates a little bit of steam and shut the lid. My fish was a bit large and I did not have a pan with a lid so I opted for chopping slits within the flesh as an alternative.
